One
of the most common reasons why parents hire nannies to take care of
their children is because they themselves have no time to do so. In
some cases, both father and mother have to leave the house and work,
relying on babysitters to watch over their kids. Due to this,
nannies often observe behavioral problems on the part of the
children.
The
relationship between a nanny and a parent should concern the welfare
of the child. Conflicts regarding this usually happen because the
parent and the sitter have clashing views on taking care of their
children. This becomes an issue since while nannies are still
temporary guardians, they spend considerably more time with the child
than the parents themselves, who by this time have thoroughly relied
on nanny services.
Whenever
a nanny tries to tell a parent about problems regarding the child,
the best option is to listen first to the concerns of the guardian.
Usually, these talks bring about other problems that the child might
be having. Properly communicating with the nanny often creates
solutions or better understanding with regards to the proper way of
raising the child and dealing with his or her problems.
Nannies
are usually hired through a very solid commitment process. They are
needed as foster parents for the children, as well as guides to moms
and dads so that in the future they can be fully knowledgeable with
their kids' problems and help them accordingly.
