The Importance of Nannies to Working Mums

A study by the Office for National Statistics showed that, as of 2013, more and more mothers in the UK are going back to work, and the number of working mothers has increased by almost 800,000 since the mid ‘90s. While these statistics may reflect the determination of working mums to provide well for their families, they also raise the question on the quality of care their children may be receiving. After all, even the most hardworking and versatile of women cannot be in two places and fulfilling two roles at the same time.

This highlights the importance of the services of nannies. While they cannot take the place of mums, nannies can provide mothers in work with invaluable help in raising their children. Experienced and dependable nannies can be counted on to perform the tasks that mums cannot do while they are at work. These include bathing the children, preparing the children’s meals, nursing them through minor ailments, and even helping them with their school work.

Some nannies may also drive children to and from school, and some can even be counted on to engage in fun activities with the kids. Most importantly, trusted nannies can be relied on to look after the safety and welfare of their wards while the parents are at work, and to provide the children with the loving care that they constantly need.
